Questions we get before the first order

01

Products & technology

What is the difference between your e-paper and ChLCD displays?

Both are reflective and need no backlight. The photo frames use E Ink style electrophoretic panels in black and white, best for text and artwork. The signage line uses full-colour cholesteric ChLCD: 1-second refresh, -30 °C to 80 °C, and zero power while the image is static.

Are the screens readable in direct sunlight?

Yes — reflective panels get brighter as the ambient light increases, which is the opposite of a backlit LCD. Our invisible LED line is specified up to 7,000 nits for façades facing the sun.

How long does the battery last on the e-paper signage?

Because a static image draws no power, battery life depends on how often you refresh. Typical deployments get several months per charge; solar or mains versions are available for permanent installations.

How do we update the content?

Over Wi-Fi or BLE from our CMS, or via API if you want to drive it from your own system. Full-colour ChLCD refreshes in about one second; photo frames can be scheduled to change artwork on a timer.

Can the displays run outdoors year-round?

The ChLCD signage is rated -30 °C to 80 °C with IP65 outdoor builds and an optional night fill light. Invisible LED cabinets are also IP65 rated. Indoor-only models are marked as such on their product page.

Orders & samples

What is your MOQ?

It depends on the line: phone accessories and the invisible kiosk start at 1 unit, photo frames at 2–10 units, and signage sold by the square metre at 2–3 m². Volume tiers start at 10 units with further steps at 50 and 200.

Can I order a sample before a bulk purchase?

Yes. Single units ship from stock, and we recommend it for any first project. Sample freight is charged at cost and credited against your first bulk order.

What is the lead time?

Stock items ship in 2–3 working days. Built-to-order and OEM runs are typically 15 days, depending on quantity and customisation. We confirm a firm date with the proforma invoice.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Card and PayPal for sample and small orders, T/T bank transfer for production orders. Long-term accounts can be discussed after the first two shipments.

Do you offer distributor pricing?

Yes — the published tiers run to 200 units and above; higher volumes and regional exclusivity are quoted case by case. Tell us your market and annual volume in the enquiry form.

03

Shipping & compliance

Which shipping terms do you support?

EXW, FOB Shenzhen, or DDP to most markets — we ship DDP to 42 countries, so duty and last-mile delivery are handled and the price you see is the landed cost.

How are battery-powered models shipped?

Lithium cells ship with UN38.3 test reports and MSDS, packed to IATA rules. We declare them properly, so air freight is available; some carriers add a surcharge that we quote upfront.

Which certificates do you provide?

CE, FCC and RoHS test reports are available for our product lines, with UN38.3 and MSDS for any model containing a battery. We can also arrange additional market-specific testing on request.

Can you ship to our 3PL or directly to our end customer?

Both. Blind shipping with your documents and no factory branding on the carton is standard for distributor orders, and we can drop-ship single units to end customers under your label.

What is your warranty and RMA process?

Standard warranty is 3 years. Send the serial number and a short video of the fault; we ship a replacement or the spare module first and ask for the failed unit back afterwards, so your site is never dark.

04

OEM & customisation

What is the MOQ for OEM?

Standard OEM — your logo, packaging and preloaded content — starts at 100 units. Tooling changes such as a new housing or a custom size are quoted separately.

What can be customised?

Boot logo and UI language, housing colour and finish, frame material (walnut or aluminium), packaging and manuals, preloaded artwork or playlists, and firmware behaviour such as refresh schedule or API endpoints.

Can you build a non-standard size?

Yes for the LED lines — invisible LED cabinets are built to the mullion grid of your façade, and seamless video walls can be cut for corners or curves. Panel sizes for e-paper are fixed by the glass supplier.

Do you sign an NDA before we share drawings?

Yes, routinely. Send your NDA or use ours, and we will sign before you share any drawings, firmware requirements or customer names.

Will you support our certification in our own market?

We supply the technical file, test samples and factory audit documents you need. Where a local body requires its own testing, we cover the sample cost and ship units to your chosen lab.
